Bonded structures
Manufacturing process
ISP System designs and manufactures assembled structures by structural bonding. Those structures are made of metallic sandwich boards assembled by cold structural bonding with special extruded strips and manufactured parts. Parts are precisely positioned thanks to a 3D laser tracker, a three-dimensional measuring arm and others measuring devices.
This manufacturing process allows us to get large sized structures (up to 10 meters). Those structures are very precise, light, rigid, stable, with high definition geometry and can withstand harsh environmental conditions. Those assemblies can also support shock absorption when the application requires high stability.
With special techniques, we can ensure electrical continuity and electromagnetic shielding.
Applications
Thanks to this process, we can realize embedded structures, equipment covering, marbles… for applications requiring long range stability, lightness, precision and rigidity. Those applications were developed for aerospace, radars, lasers, astronomy…
Engineering collaborative process
Since design process, CAD model integrates all customer’s constraints on equipments, interfaces, wirings (Cabling 3D module), piping (Piping 3D module)… With numerical simulations, we can verify mechanical properties such as fatigue, thermal behavior…
ISP System works with Research laboratories on their structural bonding solutions. After tests and validations, we can readjusted our numerical simulations.

ISP System has delivered many different sized structures. Here are some examples:
 Opto-mechanical structure
This structure contains optical components for the “frequency conversion system” of LIL Laser. Manufacturing geometrical and dimensional tolerances are about tenth of a millimeter for a 4m sized structure. The structure is light and rigid, which ensures high thermomechanical stability. 
    Aeronautical tools
When unfold, this tool measures 4 meters and allows positioning of adjustment targets with a precision of 0,1mm. Its structure is very light and rigid to make handling easier and ensure a precise positioning. It can be folded up to make its transportation and storage easier. 
    Aeronautical checkers
Those checkers are master of the landing gear of the plane, which is a 4 meters sized part. They allow control of interfaces, assembly gaps, aerofoil continuity, and positioning handling parts of the trap door. Because of its use as a calibration gauge, this structure must be precise, light and stable.
    Radar antenna structure 
This structure is a covering equipment for Electronic Scanning Radar’s antenna. It can be bigger than 6 meters and has to withstand harsh mechanical and environmental constraints. The structure insures a precise positioning of sensitive equipments and a high electromagnetic shielding.
